Even though many people look to Pinterest, Google and other online resources to get recipes, you must admit that “Church Cookbooks” have some of the best recipes that you can rely on and enjoy, made by people you know and spend time with. Many traditions and memories are surrounded by food – a cookbook is a great way to preserve those memories. Let’s create a cookbook containing recipes submitted by congregation members! It’s been 20 years since St. Paul created a cookbook. And, with St. Paul’s 100th birthday this year, what better way to celebrate, getting members to participate and have a great fundraiser for the church? The cookbooks can be used and cherished by members for a lifetime.
A recipe card is in the bulletin and included in the Pilot. Please write down a recipe and return to the recipe box on the table in the fellowship hall. There are blank recipe cards – please take as many as you would like to complete. Or, you can drop off an original recipe – just put your name on it, we will make a copy and return the original to you. You may also type the recipe and email to a committee member. We want you to share as many recipes as you are willing. We will be collecting recipes for at least two months.
We are also looking for St. Paul Lutheran church history, fun church facts, church or bible trivia, and bible verses to use on filler pages. Please write down any information and leave at the recipe box.
